Fasting in Sports

INTERMITTENT FASTING

Fasting (intermittent fasting) is more used for losing fat (weight)
in a very short periode of time and also to detoxicate your body.

It’s a very serious stadium that you body has to travel through.

#AT THE BEGINNING

At the beginning we need to say, it’s less or not recommendable for muscle gain or for people who hardly
try to get bigger and stronger and for everybody who loves their muscles.
#DURING INTERMITTENT FASTING

During the fasting periode (intermittent fasting) your body goes into the sleep modus, that means your
metabolism is going down and you burn less callories per hour then in a regular time. The problem is, that
you still need ATP (energy for muscle contraction) and some sugar and carbohydrates for the glycolysis to
carry these aminos to yourmuscles by pitching your insuline high.

During a fasting periode you have no input of proteins or other source of energy, so the energy for these
processes will be taken from your muscle volume of your body! and it turns into the catabolic stadium
(it means you burn your muscles down for energy).
#AFTER INTERMITTENT FASTING

After your fasting is done and you start eating normaly your body saves more energy than you need, because
it’s underpowered(your body is able to remember and to prepare fot the next fasting periode) so at the end you
can gain more fat as at the beginning of your fasting periode.

Sure, you lost a lot of weight, but the most volume you lost are muscles! and it will be a very hard way to gain these
muscles back.
